All prophecies (the good ones!) have begun to come true!
ST. JOHN'S SAID YES!
AND THIS IS AN IMMENSELY GOOD THING!
Also: I received an update from dear old cowpoke Beloit College in lovely Wisconsin. Their booklet of Freshman seminars seems to carry a decidedly TASP-y theme--here's a selection of what we have to choose from:
"Borders and Boundaries: the pleasures and hazards of crossing over"
"Imaginary Cities"
AND...(for Doug & Professor Eric)
"Sex and the City: URBAN ARCHITECTURE AND GENDER IDENTITY"
Lovely, non?
P.S.--Adam! Here's when I begin to bother you about the advantages and pitfalls of a Great Books education, and the prospects of living in Annapolis and the general nature of St. John's students! Anything, anything would be incredibly helpful.
